Day 1 Friday March 11, 2011

Depart Australia to Christchurch New Zealand. On arrival you'll be met and transferred to the Rydges Hotel - your New Zealand home for the next 5 nights.

Time to settle into your hotel and a quick snack before you are transferred to the first dancing social at the Beat Line Dancing Festival. Entry to the 3 Day Beat Line Dancing Festival is included in your holiday price.

Day 2 Saturday March 12, 2011

After your hotel breakfast, you will once again be transferred to the Beat Festival for a 3 hour Line Dancing workshop including lunch.

Tonight you have the option of making your way to the Beat Line Dancing Awards - the awards function includes dinner and entry which are part of your Beat Festival pass.

Today you will take a tour to Akaroa. Just 85 kilometres from the city of Christchurch, Akaroa is an historic French and British settlement nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano. Explore the village with its colonial architecture, craft stores and cafes. The beautiful harbour dominates the landscape and is home to a variety of sea and bird life including the world's smallest and rarest dolphin, the Hectors Dolphin. There are activities for everyone including wildlife cruises, swimming with the dolphins, boat hire and sea kayaking.

Day 5 Tuesday March 15, 2011

Visit to Hamner Springs Thermal Pools and Spa.

Hamner Springs is a beautiful place no matter what the season. Located 380 metres above sea level, this Alpine Village is gorgeous in autumn. In winter, it is often blanketed with snow, transforming the village into a winter wonderland. There is something for everyone in Hamner Springs.

On return to Christchurch, we will endeavour to make a stop in the Waipara Winery district for a glass of wine or two.

Day 6 Wednesday March 16, 2011

Hotel breakfast this morning.

Those who booked on our 5 night Christchurch Line Dancing package will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

The rest of the group will continue your tour New Zealand tour from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo which is located in the centre of the South Island. Whilst in Tekapo, we strongly suggest you take a short stroll to the church of the Good Shepherd.

Time and weather permitting, we also recommend you take a scenic flight over the Mount Cook region.
